Hey guys, remember all those comic http://1191adb.com/forums/index.php?showtopic=580?
Well put them to rest as the comic has been officially announced. And guess what?! NO EGYPT! It takes place in Mother Russia!
I really feel this is uberly epic because I'm a Russian, as everyone probably knows by now, and I'm fairly patriotic to it, so whenever I see Russia related game things I go nuts (Metro 2033 for instance). But Assassin's Creed? That's just beyond awesome.
Anyway, check out this cool video on the http://www.joystiq.com/2010/07/15/assassins-creed-comic-confirmed-likely-set-in-russia/. It's the announcement clip that also reveals the awesome http://www.blogcdn.com/www.joystiq.com/media/2010/07/ac.comic.071510-530px.jpg of Assassin's Creed (which is totally my new avatar).
Anyway, it'll be dealing with the Tunguska event apparently, which I thought was interesting when I read about it back in the art book, where it described that it was a result of a Brotherhood attack on one of the Templar's research stations. Can't believe they're taking a whole comic to this!
I doubt this is a pre-lude to the 3rd game though. It clearly says that there's now no chance of a game being set in Russia, not that I was ever particularly asking for one either. But I'm totally looking forward to this comic. It will be revealed at next week's San Diego Comic Con, at the booth called "Assassin's Creed: Behind and Beyond the Brotherhood" which will be hosted by Morgan Webb from G4. I'm very excited!
Cheers!

lol he misplaced the Assassin symbol. And he has a moustache
lol he lives up to every Russian stereotype ever existed.
Well this seems like an interesting way to keep AC fans busy while waiting for the next game to come out. I like the new logo and is it just me or does that russian assassin look ridiculous.
