I didn't expect anything too interesting to come out of Gamescom, as the public doesn't see as much stuff as they do at E3. Regardless, Ubisoft released an official Assassin's Creed Brotherhood demo for the public, and I gotta tell you: it is awesome. Any skepticism I've had about ACB is gone now, and after watching this demo I regained that same feeling of AC-type of excitement I remember getting before Assassin's Creed 2 came out. The new game mechanics look awesome, and I like how they put in the whole Saboteur type of system with the districts becoming more colorful, and mixing it with Red Faction Guerrilla's district freeing. So it's been done before, but never in such quality I'd say. I just hope the tower burning stuff doesn't get too repetitive. I liked how in The Saboteur you could just destroy various Nazi locations and equipment, rather than one set building. Anyway, you can watch the demo here. It's good, trust me, so enjoy it. Also here's an interview GT made with them, using that awesome music on the background that they've used before once for another AC2 related interview last year, and I after all this time I still can't god damn figure out which song it is. Anyone?! In other news, the PC VERSION HAS AGAIN BEEN DELAYED GAWD DAMN IT. Ubisoft Montreals Gaelec Simard has, as you might have noticed, not mentioned the PC during this interview. Later on he apparently revealed that it will not be released along with the console versions. No reasons nor new dates have been given.

A video with cheesy intro, outro, and developer introductions was released that calls itself the first "Brotherhood Diary". Its very lame with what they did in terms of the beginning/ending of the video, but whatever, they show some interesting stuff anyway. Check it out here. And by ‘collector’ they mean me. That’s because I’m getting it. And really I’m only getting it because I simply do that. Anything thats’ AC related, I must have. Any limited edition they put out, I must have. Any DLC, anything, I will get, no matter the cost. It’s an oath I’ve sworn to forever keep since the release of Assassin’s Creed 1 and I will not break this oath. Anyway, I’m heading over the GameStop soon to re-preorder ACB, and also pre-order Medal of Honor (don’t ask…). This edition of the game will contain two exclusive in-game single player maps (The Aqueduct and the Trajan Market), a physical map of the game’s Rome, an art book of course, and a bonus disc with things like the making of the game as well as the soundtrack. The “cool” thing though this time, is a jack-in-the-box that’s included in the package. Yeah. A jack-in-the-box. GameStop is getting the Harlequin to pop out, which is its’ exclusive, while everyone else gets the doctor. I honestly don’t know what I’m going to do with it, but the fact that I prefer the Harlequin to the Doctor is good, because I was planning on scaring the shit out of everyone in the game with his creepy ass face, but I guess now I can scare people with it in real-life too. Perfect much? It’s going to be available for $99.99. Which is fucking stupid. No seriously, the AC2 collectors’ edition was $80, which was fine. This edition is NO different, whatsoever, except instead of the figurine you get a fucking dick in a box. Really? That costs you $25 to make Ubisoft? Sigh… It’s not worth the money but I have to get it anyway. You disappoint me Ubisoft. At least the Black Box looks cool. Here’s a picture of the doctor one, and here's the harlequin one.

Yeah, I know this has been out for a few days now, although I was busy with work and hadn’t had the chance to post about it. Anyway, so you can watch the new trailer here. Rocking to Champion’s ‘Perfect in Between’, the trailer again shows different aspects of the multiplayer gameplay that we’ve already seen in the previous trailer, I guess they just wanted to make a new one for the heck of it. I have to be honest, I’m starting to love the Harlequin. Seriously, when I jump out of a house giving you “that face”, you’re going to crap yourself in front of your girlfriend. And then I’ll kill you. Anyway, this trailer is impressive and fairly inspiring. Also thank god they have a hot chick in the game now. Nobody can beat Rosa though. Nobody. Anyway, GT also released a couple of really shitty gameplay videos from comic con – the player clearly fails at Assassin’s Creed, so I don’t recommend watching it, but here it is anyway: Part 1 and Part 2.
